Our Culture and Benefits
Our values
Imagination. Passion. Collaboration. Credibility. Pragmatism. Thought Leadership. These are our core values: the qualities we look for from prospective associates, and the values that guide our behavior every day.

Take a moment to consider the information below when deciding where your career takes you next.
Total rewards
We reward our associates for their commitment, performance, and hard work. And one way we do that is through total rewards — a 360 degrees package of comprehensive health and dental benefits, financial advantages, programs that promote work-life balance, and official recognition of your achievement.

LoyaltyOne rewards its associates with competitive health benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and disability coverage
  • Fitness reimbursement
  • Maternity leave "top-up"
  • Employee assistance counseling and life-skills program
We aggressively compensate our associates by offering:

  • Competitive base pay
  • Bonus programs
  • Access to discounted group plans
    (including RRSP, banking, and insurance)
We feel you should work to live. And we encourage work-life balance by offering a variety of programs and services including:

  • Competitive vacation policy
  • Paid company-wide holidays, personal days,
    sick time, and sabbaticals
  • Buy-a-vacation program
  • Work-life balance programs
  • Fun social events like our Family Day and Winter Gala
Don't expect your hard work to go unnoticed at LoyaltyOne. We also recognize our associates through our Anniversary Recognition Program and a company-wide Excellence Award.

Please note that specific benefits may vary among LoyaltyOne positions, locations, and businesses.
Career development
We understand our associates want to develop and enhance their skills. And we're committed to meeting that need by offering a wide range of learning resources and training opportunities.

We welcome new associates and want to make sure they're on the right track to achieving success. Our comprehensive on-boarding program encompasses everything from our core businesses to our core values. And once you're settled in, you can sign up for career planning workshops that clarify expectations, define accountabilities, and provide suggestions and support for achieving career goals.

We want to empower associates with state-of-the-art tools to achieve their goals. And our Learning Management System (LMS) is just one of those tools. Through LMS, you have access to over 600 online courses on a variety of business, technical, and interpersonal topics and skills.

You can also sign up for instructor-led courses on communication, presentation, effective leadership, and more. Or drop by one of our learning libraries for self-directed, on-demand learning and industry information. Browse and borrow from our comprehensive collection of business books, magazines, audio/video cassettes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs.

If you desire to go back to school to advance your career here, we're behind you all the way. Our tuition reimbursement program supports external formal education for both full-time and part-time permanent associates.
Best place to work
LoyaltyOne and its businesses are really some of the best places to work in North America. But don't take our word for it. In 2007 AIR MILES was recognized by the Canadian Society for Training and Development for its innovative training program for managers. And in 2004, ICOM was counted among the top 10 best small and medium employers in Canada by Queen's University School of Business and Hewitt Associates.
